For us to provide you in depth assessments, personalized care, and not having to limit treatment duration, number of sessions, we are a big proponent of Direct Care Model. In this way, we can be flexible in scheduling your appointments in more timely way, dedicate enough time for each appointment without needing to rush through the care you deserve. There is full transparency about the cost (avoiding any surprises for the patients causing further stress). However, we can provide you superbills upon request which your insurance can reimburse for portion of the cost. This billing code generally includes the billing code assigned to service/appointment.

TYPES OF ASSESSMENTS:

1. Initial Psychiatric Assessment or Evaluation or Second Opinion/Consultation- First meeting with the psychiatrist are usually long in-depth assessments of an individual which can take up to 1-2 hours. Dr. Verma likes to understand completely about developmental, environmental influences of an individual along with their biological predispositions. Child and adolescent (youth) assessments will require information from parents and the individual. 

2. Follow ups/ Subsequent Medications visits/pharmacotherapy visits. 

3. Psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy combined visits

4. A re-evaluation (60 mins) is required when patient have not been seen within 5 months of their last appointment. 

5. Any type of correspondence or service not mentioned above (including but not limited to phone calls, completing forms, obtaining collateral information, etc.) that require more than 5 mins will be billed at $600/hr.

6. Cancellation that occurs within 24 hours or 1 business day of appointment and no shows will be charged at the rate of the appointment. 

7. We do not write letters approving Emotional Support Animals. 

8. Termination of care: Both patient and physician have the ability to terminate the care, if necessary. The office will handle this as per Medical Board of California guidelines. 

PAYMENTS

• Payments will be due before the appointment. Payments can be through the debit or credit card on file and credit cards will have additional processing fee of 3%. 
• We can provide you superbills upon request which your insurance can reimburse for portion of the cost. 
• If other documents needs to be released, we would need appropriate Release of Information (ROI). There will be administrative processing charges $25 and nominal fee per page which will be incurred to the person/ organization seeking records.
